maz jewelry pieces are oxidized, hand-fabricated in 925 sterling silver. silver is a precious metal that requires proper care to maintain its beauty over time.

to keep your pieces in the best condition, we recommend:

• removing your jewelry before swimming or going to the beach
• avoiding contact with household products, cosmetics and chemical substances
• avoiding exposure to extreme temperatures
• storing your jewelry separately in a dry environment, such as a jewelry box or pouch

to clean your silver jewelry, you can:

• use baking soda with warm water, rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth
• use silvo, a silver cleaning product originally designed for silverware, which works beautifully on jewelry — always rinse thoroughly with clean water after use
• use a polishing cloth for a quick shine

some of our pieces feature 18-carat yellow gold fused directly onto a 925 sterling silver base. the same care recommendations as for silver apply to these pieces. avoid contact with chemicals, extreme temperatures and humidity, and store separately in a dry environment.

our pieces are set with a carefully selected range of stones, including white, black and grey diamonds, raw diamonds, and iron meteorites — each unique by nature.

to care for your stones:

• avoid exposing your jewelry to ultrasonic cleaners, as vibrations can loosen settings
• avoid contact with chemicals, perfumes and cosmetics
• clean gently with a soft, damp cloth — do not soak
• raw diamonds and iron meteorites are particularly sensitive to moisture; dry thoroughly after any contact with water to prevent oxidation

over time, diamonds — particularly on frequently worn pieces such as rings — may lose some of their brilliance due to daily wear. a professional jeweler can re-polish your diamonds to restore their original shine. we recommend consulting a trusted jeweler for this service.

for pieces set with iron meteorites:

• avoid wearing at the beach or near the sea, as salt air and saltwater accelerate iron oxidation
• dry thoroughly after any contact with water
• if oxidation occurs and a brown film appears on the surface, gently brush with a metal brush (such as a small wire brush) to remove it — this will restore the meteorite's natural appearance
• a very light application of mineral oil can help protect the surface from humidity

although brass is a less precious metal than 925 sterling silver, it requires just as much care and attention to age beautifully over time.

maz brass jewelry is coated with a protective varnish to help prevent natural oxidation, as brass tends to oxidize quickly when exposed to natural elements, skin pH and daily products.

to care for your brass piece, please follow the same recommendations as for our silver jewelry — avoid contact with water, chemicals, cosmetics and extreme temperatures, and store separately in a dry environment.

to clean your brass jewelry, you can use the same products as for silver: baking soda with warm water, silvo, or a polishing cloth — always rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth after cleaning.

please note that over time, the protective varnish may wear off naturally, and some oxidation may occur. this is a normal characteristic of brass and part of its natural aging process.

our choker necklaces consist of two parts: a c-shaped hollow tube covering two thirds of the necklace's circumference, and a shorter clasp piece covering one third, which slides and locks into the tube. always handle with care — never force the clasp open or closed.

to open your choker:

1. unlock the half-sphere on the clasp piece, aligning the two dot engravings facing each other
2. slide the clasp piece out of the tube from the dash side

to fasten your choker:

1. align the two dash engravings facing each other and slide the clasp piece into the c-shaped tube
2. align the two dot engravings and press the half-sphere to lock and secure the choker
